I am from Simsbury, Connecticut and moved to Denver, Colorado in August of 2007. I've been shooting pictures for over 10 years now, in both digital and film format.
In December 2012 I was awarded a Bachelors degree in photojournalism with a minor in studio photography from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
I love journalism and especially photojournalism because it allows for a society to have that essential argument and get it all out on the table. Without journalism the world would not have such access and communication to current events that impact individual lives. To tell a story with pictures is a fine art that can be fostered and explored in many ways. In our fast, visual culture, photo stories are sometimes the only way to capture the audience’s attention; they are a lede in their own right.
I have had the opportunity to shoot pictures of the president on two different occasions as well as celebrities like Dr. Patch Adams, Dr. Cornel West, Jack Hannah, Trey Anastasio, Bassnectar, STS9, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Alex & Allison Grey, Borgore, Zach Deputy, The Wailers, Gov. Hickenlooper, Mayor Hancock, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Chandler Riggs (Walking Dead), Kristin Bauer (True Blood), Cindy Morgan (Tron), and more.
